Attorney General's Office, Hong Kong 15th August, 1876.

I have perused the accompanying Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance to make better provision for the sale of Food and Drugs in a pure state," and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to the Governor's Instructions.

The object of this Ordinance is to introduce into this Colony such of the provisions of the English Sale of Food and Drugs Acts 1870 and 1875 as are applicable to the local circumstances of the Colony.

The only laws in force in this Colony...
